Mission Statement:
The mission of the Albert L. Scott Library is to provide excellent library and information resources and services to all the citizens of Alabaster. These resources and services should help city residents obtain information to meet their cultural, educational, recreational and professional needs now and in the future.

Alabaster's Albert L Scott Library was built in 1983 on land donated by one of the city's founding families.  A Library Board that is appointed by the Alabaster City Council supervises the Library.

  • Outreach Story Time (at local daycare centers): Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m.
  • Sensory Story Time: second and fourth Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.
  • Toddler Tales: Fridays at 10:30 a.m. in the Library Meeting Room
