 Water Tower Maintenance

In order to perform an inspection and preventative maintenance, the Board will be taking the Pine Ridge tank (behind Veteran's Park in Park Forest) and Ann's tank (small tank in Navajo Hills) out of service from approximately January 8 through January 18.  We do not expect any impact on service due to Ann's tank being out of service since we have other tanks at the same elevation to supply this area of our system.  However, we do expect an impact on service (pressure) in certain areas of Grandview, certain areas of Park Forest, and Shady Oak Lane because we will have to switch service from a higher level tank to lower level tanks.  Specifically we expect pressure to be less in the estate lots of Park Forest (the newer section) and the west side of Grandview and along the Parkway.   We plan to hang tags at each home that we believe will be impacted by the changeover in tanks.  We expect to have both tanks back in service on Tuesday, January 19.

The city's emergency responders are aware of this scheduled preventative maintenance.  This is routine and in the best interests of our community to ensure our tanks are functioning & well kept.  You can contact the water board if you have specific questions during this time.
