2020 Alabaster Christmas Parade

  • Date:  Saturday, Dec. 5
  • Time:  10:00 AM
  • Location:  Highway 31 South
Organized and Directed by Alabaster City Personnel

Parade Theme

"Alabaster Celebrates Our 2020 Hometown Heroes"

Our Hometown Heroes will include Police, Fire, Educators and Medical Personnel.

Due to the ever changing world of COVID, please check back periodically for any changes that may be made to our Parade and/or Registration.

  1. The Parade begins at Ernest McCarty Ford.
  2. Proceeds South to the Alabaster Police Station where the judges platform is located.
  3. Turns and goes over the train tracks, past Alabaster Auto, past the Thrift Store shopping center.
  4. It ends at the stop sign in front of Southbrook Village on 1st Street Southwest.

The viewing area for spectators has been extended as Social Distancing is highly encouraged this year. In order to view all of the Parade entries, you will need to be South of US Title Loans & Payday Loans as that's the last staging area for Parade entries. The first lot available for viewing is Ponder Plaza (Chubbfathers, Beauty Nails & Spa, Alfa Insurance).

NOTE:  Candy will be thrown along the Parade route. Please do not enter Highway 31 to retrieve candy as that creates a dangerous situation!

Please supervise young children at all times during the Parade so no one runs out into the street and risks possible injury by a vehicle.

There will be Port-a-lets along the Parade route for your convenience at or near the following locations:
  • One Handicap Accessible beside the old Annex Building (behind the Police Station across from the RR tracks)
  • Two in the Buddy's BBQ area including one Handicap Accessible
  • Two at the Industrial Road intersection (former Krystal) including one Handicap Accessible
  • One the area of Wayne's Auto Sales

Lane Closing

Southbound traffic on Highway 31 will be rerouted to the Northbound side at 9:15 AM.
Highway 31 North will become two lanes for North and Southbound traffic.

We will be monitoring the weather. The Parade will occur whether it's rain or shine unless conditions become unsafe for Parade participants and spectators.
